Funding Sources

Most of the projects of professors of the permanent body PPGMUS have financing of costing and/or capital, scholarships for Scientific Initiation (PIBIC), Initiation to teaching (PIBID) or Initiation to Extension (PIBIEX). The financing of these scholarships is carried out by CNPq, FAPESB and UFBA itself.

We emphasize that, throughout the existence of the PPGMUS and, specifically, the 2013-2016 quadrennium, such sources of funding have fomented the integration between the PPGMUS and the graduation that has been occurring through not only the teaching participation in the PIBID, guidance PIBIC and to remain, but also the tutorships and teaching internship orientations in the public network from basic education to the level of the EJA, in the intellectual and artistic productions resulting from these interlocutions, also implicated socially, culturally and politically in Music area.

In this context, UFBA has been acting strongly, offering in the last four-year scholarships of IC, IT and ICJr from CNPq, FAPESB and its own budget. Additionally, an innovation that UFBA adopts and that further strengthens the bonds between post and graduation is the use of postgraduate students as tutors/student of CI, IT and ICJr.

Under the PPGMUS in 2016, the tutoring took a total of 8 tutorials and their respective PIBIC scholarships, totaling 30 tutorials (number that does not correspond to 30 post-graduates, since some of the tutorials were repeated the following year, in recognition of the engagement Of those/the tutors in the research project) and 30 scholarships PIBIC (idem status of the Guardians) in the 2013-2016 quadrennium.

From the positive results of the tutoring, we highlight the strengthening of the research lines of the PPGMUS, in this fruitful exchange between PPGMUS and graduation, the rise of students of HF for the post and masters students for the doctorate. However, if we consider the total PIBIC orientations of the Quadriennium, 19 of the 20 professors guided PIBIC (total of 119 scholarships/PIBIC guidelines).

At the Masters and doctorate levels, the PPGMUS counted in the 2013-2016 quadrennium with scholarships from CAPES, CNPq, FAPESB, FAPEMIG, UEPA and UESB and FUNDACAO DE SUPPORT OF the FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF RGS.

Projects were designed aiming a requalification of the program that obtained approval in support notices and were executed in full: The Projects "Requalification of the Teaching Production of PPGMUS UFBA" and "support to the scientific production of the academic master in Music of the UFBA ". The project "Requalification of the teaching production of PPGMUS UFBA", contemed in the PROPG-PROPCI/UFBA 01/2014-PRÓ-CONSOLIDATE 2014, and the project "support for the scientific production of the academic Master's degree in music of UFBA", contemed in the PUBLIC CALL in the 003/2014- SUPPORT TO GRADUATE PROGRAMS STRICTO SENSU ACADEMICIANS-TECHNICAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT CAPES/FAPESB.

Still in 2014 there was the approval and realization of the I International Congress on the Thinking of black women in Brazil and in the African Diaspora & I Workshop Black women-thinking social, cultural and political practices (partnership EMUS/PPGMUS, NEIM/UFBA, NUGSEX-Diadorim/UNEB and Criola/RJ), event supported by the then secretariat of policies for the promotion of Racial equality – SEPPIR and Minister Luiza neighborhoods with support and financing of the then secretariat of policies for the promotion of Racial Equality (SEPPIR); And also approval of the research project of the Indigenous peoples ' Edital, a partnership between UFPE/MEC (AMEI/ANAI) and UFPA.
